Inaugural Haverhill Half Marathon and 10k May 11th 2014
Jack Tappin has done a tremendous job to launch Haverhill's inaugural half marathon and 10k, which will be held on 11th May 2014 to raise funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care. We hope as many of our Haverhill runners can enter the race as possible to help make the event a huge success for the town, and of course those of us who can't run can support the race organisers in some way.

Ladies Captain confirmed
Haverhill Running Club has a new ladies captain after Siobhan Dockerill took on the role. Siobhan only joined the club in 2013 but has already become a familiar face to many in the club. Siobhan won’t be joining the committee but can still be contacted in regards to any issues members may have.
Siobhan isn’t the only club member to take on a key non-committee role in the club – Sian Marie Lucas has taken up the reins on the Kevin Henry 5K series. Sian also joined as a member in 2013, and it’s very refreshing to see these two ladies taking on pivotal roles in the club.
There are always roles such as these which need to be carried out within our club, so if you think you could help please let Trevor know.
Kevin Henry 5K Schedule 2014
Thank you to Sian-Marie and Trev Bunch for taking on the organisation for the Kevin Henry series for 2014. See the fixtures list on our Events page for more information on the Kevin Henry series.

Winter meeting point at the leisure centre
Please note the new Tuesday schedule on the training page
As its going to only get colder and wetter - when you arrive on a Tuesday
or Thursday for training, and unless otherwise instructed, walk up the
stairs from the entrace lobby to the first floor, and turn left through
the door to meet on the balcony area over looking the sports hall.
- Please do not wait in the entrance lobby of the leisure centre before your run.
- The balcony is a shared area, so please make sure you don't obstruct people coming through and be considerate of other users of the sports facilities.
- Listen out carefully for the run leaders to tell you when the groups are, and be ready to move outside as soon as possible so the run can begin on time. It is your responsibility to make sure you are not left behind!
-Be sure to ask reception about the great discounted membership
Abbeycroft are offering!
