Hi everyone
Some of you will already be familiar with the Roman Road that runs from Cambridge to the edge of Haverhill. It’s a lovely traffic free green lane passing through some great countryside. On the 3rd of June you can join some of your friends from the club to run all or part of the scenic route. For those of you who like your long runs there is the option of running all the way to Parkers Piece in Cambridge have a picnic AND run back again. That's certainly Yusuf, Mandy and Tasha's intention and anyone who wants to join them on the full 32-mile jaunt is very welcome. There will be lots of breaks in between, and the intention is to have a decent break for a fulfilling picnic at Parkers Piece.
If you prefer to run just part of the route that's quite easy to do. The Roman Road runs parallel to the A1307 and even on Sundays you can catch a bus to several different start/end points.
Meet at Haverhill Leisure Centre at 7am. A map showing the route is attached.
